The quest to bridge the digital divide has been the top priority of Arnson Innovate Tech Hub 2023 activity plan. Therefore, the Hub has started an initiative titled “Youth in Tech” that will train the marginalized from the communities we serve. On the 14th of January, 2023 the first 12 beneficiaries had their share of the digital training. These young individuals with male to female ratio of 2:1 joined from the Nkoranza community.
The training focused on how to incorporate technology (tools, platforms, and techniques) into their various startups, to boost productivity and increase profits.
The participants gained knowledge on various subjects, from non-technical data collection and analytics to leveraging a wide range of available digital marketing tools. Even though they were taught how to advertise and market online to distant clients, our facilitators offered them a set of guidelines such as data collection, bookkeeping, and customer relationship to help them in their service delivery to their local clients.
At the conclusion of the training, each participant came up with plans to leverage the available tech tools to increase efficiency and productivity in their existing business.
This great initiative by Arnson Innovate Tech Hub seeks to empower the youth and help them become more competitive in the market by providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge. It is also a great way to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the local community.
